Meacham Manuscript

I now have a complete copy of this very interesting manuscript, as well as Edward's religious testament. I have permission from the owners to offer copies to Meacham-Mecham researchers. It's handwritten and tough to read in places, but has a lot of history of the Meacham family in upstate NY. There was no Joseph-Joseph proof in Edward's writing, but I now have that from another source: Copy of a letter to Edwin Whiting at Pisgah from Stephen P. Mecham,
September 14, 1848, in which Stephen tells his father-in-law "perhaps brother Palmer has told you the news that my brother Joseph is dead. He was killed with a ..?.. log loading it on a wagon Maryann came to Burlington with her family and has gone back." Since I know that my ggg-gf Joseph was killed when a log rolled on him at Springfield, Ill., March 18, 1848, and I know his wife was Mary Ann or Mary Anna, I can now document that Joseph Meacham, died 3/18/1848, was the son of Dr. Thomas and Sarah Cauley Meacham. Thomas is known as "The Mighty Hunter of the Adirondacks." His father was Samuel Meacham II, who served with the New Hampshire militia in the Revolution. Thanks to all who helped in my hunt for Edward's manuscript and proof of my ggg-gf's identity.
