You can find the Public Record Office site by asking search engine for PRO England or type out full as above. When there a drop down list for research will be seen. Follow this.
Included on this site is Access to Archives which is an index to materials held in local public record offices for england and wales with a description of the records and the Perogitive Court of Canterbury wills that covers lower 1/2 of England where people had property that was in different areas such as 2 different counties, seamen and people in North America such as colonials. I have the will of a William Meacham of Whitestanton who is most likly to be Ambrose Meachams son and several others.
Another site is British History Online - again ask the search engine of choice - explore and have fun!
