I can give you some information. Because my 3rd great grandfather Israel Meacham was born in Williamstown, Berkshire Co., MA (and is my brick wall) I have tried to keep track of the various Meacham's in that area. I will give you the synopsis from the Dept. Of Interior, Bureau of Pensions that was made Jan. 26, 1920.Ifyou would like a transcription of the 9 pages in his pension packet I would be happy to do that, but it will take a little time.
In April 1775 Abraham served 9 months as a private in Captain Angel's company from Williamstown MA serving at Roxbury, MA.
In Fall of 1776 he enlisted in Williamstown, MA (don't know the officer) as a private and served 3 months in New Jersey.
He was married to Lydia Standish Oct. 15, 1778 at Williamstown MA.She gave this information when she filed for the pension April 18, 1839.She filed in Sandy Creek, Oswego Co., NY
In 1780, 1781, 1782 he was a corporal under Cpts. John Stark and Mr. Everest in Pawlett Vt.He would serve for a week or two at a time during those years.
There is a list of his children - do you need that information?
Let me know what else you want.Hope this helps.
