WHY Charles Almon Malloch changed his name to Charles Mitchell Minot we may never know, but that he did so is clear. Compare the WWI draft registration and the 1900 USC of Everett, MA, for Charles A[lmon] Malloch to the 1942 WWII draft registration of Charles Mitchell Minot. His wife, Mary, was living in Prides Crossing, MA, when she died in 1968, and Charles' brother Leslie lived in Gloucester, so a search of Essex County, MA, newspapers in Jan 1965 [his death date], may very well turn up an obit. They don't appear to have had any children, as none are listed in the 1930 USC of Sheboygan, WI, and Charles and Mary are living in the YMCA on Shurtleff St., Chelsea, in 1942.
