Henry Donnell b. 1602 Barnstable England, Master Fisherman first arrived York 1631, occupied Jewell's Island. Married Francis Gooch, dau of John Gooch. Henry was believed to have been killed in the 1892 raid on Wells/York , all the huses, except one, north of the York river where burned, about 80 taken Prisoner, and abt 50 killed, henry Donnell was not listed in any town records after that date, except a dividing up his possesions, he died without a will. Children where: Henry, Joseph,Margaret, samuel, sarah and Thomas. I am a Decendent of Samuel, and from there it goes; Nathanial,Nathanial Jr III (Nathanial had two sons named Nathanial!!) Timothy,Henry, William Henry, Henry Walter, Henry walter jr, Edward Hamilton, Edward Henry and then my self.. The info in Henry is from the History of York Maine, written by geroge Ernst, back in the 1930's he wa a local Photographer and historian of sorts, he knew the families he wrote about, my Grandfather knew him. I copied it back in the 1980's from the book in the York library. Francis Redding isnever mentioned until more recent times, and I think it all started with a an LDS Generalogy mix-up, because I find no mention of her prior to the mid 1990's, so it may be as you sugested. good-luck. Ed Donnell III
