Hello, There wasn't an original source for this info provided to me except to say that it was from Early Marriage Records of the town of Buxton. Sorry not to be of any more help than this. However I can tell you that Picton Press also has a book on Marriages from Buxton that are from the records of Rev. Paul Coffin who was the minister of the Church of Christ (Congregational) there in Buxton for several years. I noticed that when I was copying the entries from the pages I had, that many of these marriages were also contained in that book (I purchased this book from Picton Press in ME about 2 years ago...small thin hard bound book cost 20.00...still available today I believe). So perhaps some of these early marriages were from Rev. Coffin's notes as well. There was no specific source cited from the info (copies of pages) that I was typing from other than Early Marriages of Buxton, ME. I can tell you however that one of my own 5th grt. grandfather's son's married a gal from Hollis (Mary Heairl as her surname was spelled in the old church records), and they were from Hollis as noted in the book. I would feel pretty confident that the Palmers of these old Buxton records and yours in Hollis are one and the same as many from Hollis came to this church. Buxton and surrounding areas were all part of the Narragansett Township No. # 1 waaay back so they are probably the same. Good Luck to you in your searching. Notify Administrator about this message?
