Benoit in Biddeford

I have just found out why I was having such a hard time finding any information about my Benoit ancestors:
I just found out that they moved to Maine for a time!

I found the following family in the 1880 US Census, all listed as Canadian born, living at 11 Emery Street, Biddeford:

Charles Benoit, age 50, Blacksmith
Emelie Benoit (Clement), age 46

Albert Benoit, age 18
Marie Benoit, age 17
Clement Benoit, age 16
Arthur Benoit, age 14
Charles Benoit, age 10
Annie Benoit, age 5

Amable Benoit, age 17 (nephew)

Albert was my great-great-grandfather, and eventually came back to Canada, where he married in 1888.
I am wondering whether any family members stayed behind.

If anyone knows anything about the family, I would be very interested.

Thank you,

Gilbert Benoit
Ottawa, Ontario
