Hi Jack

I was at Bangor library-researching a variety of topics-they have the Ben Foss book.

Edward Foss, s/o Ben & Hannah Miller was the first child and born at Machias 10 February 1802.

From what they listed looks like it came from the book at Porter Library (previous post)-the correct title is:
Earliest Records of Machias, Maine 1767-1827-copied by
Beulah Jackman.

By chance do you know anything about "the hermit of Duck Cove"-not sure if it was Duck Cove or just the Kennebec shore?

John
