John: You're right, he could have a Rev. record. We had an Indian scout (14 yrs.) who served in 1781 and was taken by Indians to Trois Rivieres. He is accepted by DAR, so John may have a record too. Will look. Yes, John's son Almon was about 16 when they all left Madison for Robbinston. Then he married and had more children. Thanks for the suggestion to call for index help. Kathy
