Here is the death notice of Edwin P. BRIDGES...thought you might be interested as it mentions Irene HUCKINS....
"IN the death of Edwin P. BRIDGES the town of Marion has lost one its most influential citizens,
He was born in Edmunds, May 6, 1838. When a small boy his father moved to Marion
In 1861 he enlisted in the civil War and served faithfully for four years and seven months. Athe the end of that time he returned home with an honorable discharge.
In 1867 he was united in marriage to Katie DAVIS, five children being born to them: Carrie May, Harvey Russell, Nellie A., Edna Gertrude and Albert Lincoln.
Death visited the family and took the mother November 13, 1879.
He married Sarah J. FENDERSON. Four children came to bless them: Oscar Freeman, Ella Foster, Hattie Allan and Ethel Clifford.
The funeral was held March 7th at two o'clock from the church at Marion, Dr. F. W. Small officiating, Singing was furnished by Mrs. M.D. HIggins, Mr. and Mrs. Fred L Gardner of Dennysville. The bearers were Robert Sherrard, Joshia Page, Andrew Johnson and James Cook the first three being of the same company as the deceased. Mr. Bridges leaves to mourn his loss a widow and eight children, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral, except his son, Lincoln, of Haverhill.
He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Irene HUCKINS of this town, and mrs. Elizabeth Goodhue of Bradford Centre and one brother, Isaac H. bridges of Whitneyville.
