Looking for the family of Hugh Ross (b.1816) who married Mary Ann Thompson,(1818-1863) both from NB (possibly St. Stephens). They moved to Calais and lived with their children: Margaret Ann "Annie" (1840-1904)who married John Gillis; Skiffington (1841-abt.1864-lost at sea);George H. (1843-1919) who married Annie McGlynn;Helena A.(b.1847); Charles W.(b.1851); Frederick A.(b.1853);Howard J.(b.1855 and given up for adoption to a couple from Houlton, ME after the death of his mother, Mary Ann in 1863);Frank Hubert(1858-1945)married Bertha Nason in Vanceboro, ME. Family history says Hugh left family to find gold in Calif. around 1861 and was never heard from again. Mary Ann died in 1863 and oldest daughter "Annie" took care of younger siblings.
