I'm looking for any information regarding the Daniel McCurdy family listed in the 1860 census (wife: Hannah; children: Andrew, Frank, Fred, George, and Walter.
Daniel died in the Civil War at Petersburg, VA. 18 June 1864. Hannah left the area sometime after the 1870 Federal census -- she is listed in Winn, Penobscot, Maine, and when she shows up on the 1885 Kansas State Census.
I believe Daniel's parents were David and Elizabeth Chandler McCurdy, and I think they moved to Maine between 1812 and 1820, possibly from New Jersey. I'm looking for possible burial locations for them.
