So, Isabel, we are quite close 'relatives/cousins' both coming form Benjamin, eh? One of Benjamin's daughters, Ruth, and a sister to my fourth great grandfather Phillip Morse, married Dr.Caleb Moody (some call him the II and others Jr.). Anyway, Ruth and their kids are related to me and therefore I am related, possibly, to William Moody of Rowley/Newbury, Essex, MA and his father Edmund of England who never came here. The Moodys in Walto, Waldo, ME and thereabouts (isn't there a Moody Mountain near Waldo, Waldo, ME?)believe they are from William Moody, above, as well. The 100 or more Moody relatives, nonetheless, who will hold a reunion in Monmouth and Pittston this summer (August 19-2) claim they come from ?Ingram, Clement, Clement and thereafter to the present. Fortunately I claim that I come from both of these branches of Moodys as do some of my/our Morse relatives in northern Maine (my g grandmother was a Morse and her mother was Louisa R. (Moody)Morse. Do yuo know Ron S. Moody of Waldo, Waldo, ME? He has invited me to another Moody reunion. That one is in Searsport on July 29, so I'll have a lot of Moody people to meet, eh? I took a kit to Ron who submitted the YDNA test and his results should come back soon and show which line of Moodys he is from.
We and your Morse relatives should meet sometime; perhaps we can have a reunion as well. I have met a few Morse High School Morses. My Morses lived in Bridgewater, MA and moved to Bridgewater, ME. Some of them settled Seattle, Washington. Keep in touch and if you want to write to me off the message board as well as on, I am at nacelod@aol.com. Thanks. Don Beattie in Winthrop, ME.
