Thank you so much-- the Woodmans are my direct line. The Alfred Woodman 48 in Sagadahoc is who I was looking for. His son Archiblad Woodman is my great grandfather. He ran away from home at an early age, joined the army near the end of the Civil War and later changed his name to Charles Rich. Apparently Alfred's first wife Rebecca Jones died sometime after the 1850 Maine census and before the 1860 one. Alfred 18 and Erastus are both sons of the older Alfred Woodman and Erastus wife Louisa maiden name was Furbush.

Thanks you've been a big help.
Sarah
