From "Sampson Shore and his Shorey Descendants," by B.E. Shorey, Penobscot Press, 1993, p. 98:
First wife of Franklin Dunbar Shorey - Hannah Phillips, b. Jan 1846, d. Palermo, Maine, June 26, 1867, daughter of Aaron born 1818 and Mary Phillips born 1820.
There is no other information on Aaron or Mary Phillips and no children listed for this marriage. The book states that Franklin served in the Civil War as Corporal in F Co., 7th Maine Infantry. Perhaps there is a pension file that might have more information about the first marriage.
The book shows second wife Abigail Parmeter b. 1849, marriage October 30, 1867, and lists 10 children of this marriage.
