Can you give me the name(s) of the the towns where that person might have been living? The list is quite long. There was a cluster of Pattens who settled in the very area where I am going to be living, the "mile and a half strip," in Skowhegan. This is, of course, west Somerset County. I am moving back to Somerset County next month and perhaps can be of more help then since that is the county seat where the registry of deeds and probate are located. KAM
