For a lot of local history try the Sagadahoc Historical and Genealogy Room in the Patten Free Library in Bath-

From our local Bookland I picked up a small book by Joyce K. Bibber- Selected Maine Coast Postcards of George S. Graves($18.99)
" The earliest of the known George Graves postcards from Maine bore a 1908 copywright and were of Small Point, in Phippsburg. He spent the summer in that location, using
"Small Point" as an address on his stationery that year and on two bookslets made up of some earlier cards."
There are several photos of the Phippsburg area, various seasons, some people ,ship launchings, farming, harbor views, New Meadows River, steamboats, and schools houses.
