Hi,
My Mitchell's lived in Dover-Foxcroft, however, they were born in Corinth, Maine. Corinth is basically next door to Dover-Foxcroft. Back in 1800's Dover and Foxcroft were two different towns. They merged at some point around the turn of the 20th century, I believe. The Dover town hall was not at all helpful in my search. I know that some of my Mitchell's are still in the Dover area, and after the first of the year I plan to take a trip up there and check the surrounding towns. Dover is about 35 miles from me. I will share any information I can find with you all. If you have any specific people or dates let me know, as Dover is also the county seat for Piscataquis Co. I am sure there must be something there. Happy Holidays, everyone!!!

Peg
