Kyla,

Yes, you are correct about Col. Walter G. Morrill being associated with the Highland Slate Quarry in Brownville, rather than Monson. Sorry for the confusion. My mother, Helen F. Morrill Taylor was a grand niece of Col Walter Morrill; her gf was John Willard Morrill, Walter's brother.

Walter's sister Mary Augusta b 5/9/1844 married your Ira P. Wing (see your photo) on 3/16/1864 in Williamsburg. He was a machinist in Monson (my source for this info is BIOGRAPHICAL REVIEW, Volume XXIX containing the Life Sketches of Leading Citizens of SOMERSET, PISCATAQUIS, HANCOCK, WASHINGTON and AROOSTOOK COUNITES, MAINE Published Boston 1893, Biographical Review Publishing Company). The only portion I own of this brochure is of Walter G. Morrill. My other source is a Genealogical Query my mother answered in the Maine Sunday Telegram.

Mary Augusta Morrill and Ira P Wing had two children; Harry Wing and Nellie Wing Dean.

I was not familiar with Levi Morrill, Charles W. or Alvin F. Morrill. Who's children are these? It would certainly appear we are cousins, I am just not sure how. (smile)
