I have Ellis's in my family who lived in the Dexter - Wellington - Ripley - and St. Albans area, but only a couple of them that I can confirm. Atkins Ellis, b. abt 1821, was my ggg grandfather (Civil War). His daughter was Emeline Ellis, who married James Crawford of Dexter. There are many Ellis's in Dexter and these may not be the ones you are looking for, but good luck.
