I have Jonas Wells of Shelborne Addition(Gorham)NH, who married jAnne Griffin in March 21, 1826. Also Jonas Wells, married to Sophia Evans March 5, 1854, and Nathaniel Wells, married to Dianthy Littlehale (Bethel,Me.) July 20, 1851. The Wells were all from Gorham, and there were also two Edward Wells. One Edward was from Norway, and he was married to jane Stevens, and the second Edward was born in Stoneham, Me. and married to Amanda Heald of Lovell. This Edward was born in 1810, and Eliza was born in 1812. I believe she was born in the same town. the Wells of this area moved to Gilead, and then to New Hampshire. Jonas G, Edward, and Iram Wells are found in the news in 1886. The second Edward, I believe that his father was the one from Norway, only lived until 1838. He was married to Amanda in 1836. They may have had children, I don't know. I'm planning to go to Norway in a few days to look in the library, and town office for any info that I might find. i'll post anything new that comes up. Hope this helps.
