Am seeking information on my paternal great great grandparents, Jeremiah Lewis, b. 6 Apr., 1823 and died 25 May, 1888 and wife Lucy E. Watson Lewis, b. 24 Feb., 1826 - d- ____? Diaries say lived in Oxford County---something about Lowell, Maine. I've always heard that they spoke German and he taught German at Univ. of Maine but do not have facts to back that tale. Am not sure if they were German immigrants or where they were born. Would appreciate any info-obits, cemetery records--and hopefully can visit there one of these days. Thanks to the nice person who might help me there in Oxford County, Maine.
