Searching for ANYTHING at all on a Joshua or James Moody who may have died in Poland, Oxford Co., ME. I do not know death dates because that is what I am searching for.
Joshua Moody, Jr. was born 1700 in Newbury, MA son of Joshua Moody, Sr (Jr. and Sr. are for clarity only), and Mary Greenleaf. Poland I understand was at one time called Bakerstown and was an area of land given out as land grants for those heirs of soldiers who fought during the French & Indian Wars (I think), so it might be that that is how they ended up there from Newbury, MA.
If anyone has any old history books and could do a look-up for me just to see if there ever was a Joshua who might also have been called "JOHN" Moody or James Moody during those early to mid to later 1700's, I sure would be most greatful for the help.
