The intentions of James M. Holden and Etta M. Kimball, both of Paris, were entered in Paris 28 July 1883, and a certificate issued 3 Aug. 1883. I found no marriage record in Paris. There is a note written above the intentions, "Send to Canton," so they probably were married there.

"Etta M. Kimball" was Mary Etta Kimball, daughter of Benjamin and Narcissa H. (Perham) Kimball of Woodstock, b. about 1868. Narcissa's family appears in the 1911 Woodstock Town Register as follows:

Kimball, Narcissa H (Perham) wid Benj d '82 R D 2; Columbus
       P bk kpr, Berlin, N H, Etta M (m La Montagne) R D 1,
       Pike N H, Martha K (m Dudley), Flora M d '64

Benjamin Kimball was the son Seth Kimball, and was born in New Hampshire. He died 12 May 1882, aged 52 years, 1 month, and was buried in Davis Cemetery in Woodstock (also called Cushman or Perham Cemetery).

Narcissa Perham, the daughter of Columbus and Clementine (Nutting) Perham, born in Bethel, Me., died 23 Feb. 1919, aged 76 years, 7 months, 25 days. She was the granddaughter of Jotham and Lucy (Felt) Perham of Woodstock, great-granddaughter of Lemuel and Betsey (Gurney) Perham of Paris and Woodstock. She married second Dennis M. Potter.
