Hi Erin,
I have just recently started to check out my father's side of the family and my maiden name is Cole. I saw that you were looking for info on Cole in Porter and Kezar Falls area and I might have some information-maybe you already have it.

I have a newspaper article I have been hanging onto from February 21, 1993-the Home and Family section of the Maine Sunday Telegram. On the front page, there is a picture of a woman who I think resembles my grandmother. This woman's name was Grace Edith Cole Locklin. The woman who was interviewed for the article was her great granddaughter. The article states that there is a lot of information in Grace's Bible. Her ancestors settled in Porter before the Civil War and she lived in Brownfield-where my grandmother was from-and then Kezar Falls.

I hope this gives you some more information towards your search. Best of luck!

Gail Kelly
