I was brought up in Gilbertville (part of Canton) from 1940 to 1955. There is no Catholic Church in any part of Canton. Many of the towns and cities around there have Catholic Churches, ie; Jay, Livermore Falls, Lewiston, Auburn as well as Rumford and Mexico. I have a 1905 Canton & Dixfield Register if there is any lookups that could assist you. Canton includes Gibertville and Canton Point.
