Gammon Family : From Buckfield HIstory by Cole, pg 588-589

Gammon: Joseph and Philip Gammon who were brothers,came from England to America about 1750 and settled int he vicinity of Portland. They lived at different periods at Cape Elixabeth,Scarboro,and Gorham. Philip's wife Joanna-----
Children(Imperfect list)
Philip m. Sarah Crockett a Rev. soldier, living in Windham in 1790\Nathaniel b abt 1753 m. Mary Lowell settled in Buckfield.
Joseph b in Aug 175 a Rev. Sold m. Drusilla Reed settled in Norway
Ruth m in 1781 Thomas Clay
Jonathan m. Lydia Millet
Benjamin m Betty Crockett
Betsey m Benjamin Bodge ans settled in Windham.
Philip and his wife Joanna deeded land in Gorham in 1801 to their daughter Ruth Clay Afterwards they lived in Windham ans said to have gone to Raymond with their son Nathaniel.
