Greetings Steve,

One Morse in my lineage was John Morse (born in Vermont) who died at the Battle of the Wilderness during the Civil War and is buried in the Powers Cemetery in Newry, Oxford County, Maine. John descended from Clark, John, Thomas, Stephen and Anthony.

I have no Samuel in my database, however I am told that other Morse family members are also buried in Newry. I plan to visit the Powers Cemetery next month. If I find anything of interest I shall contact you once again. Cheers
