William Guptill, son of John and Abigail (Goodwin) Guptill; bp 17 Mar 1756; d 7 May 1803 (GMA); m 6 June 1777 (GMA) Jane Downs; dau of Ebenezer Downs of Steuben, Me.William was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.He moved to Grand Manan Island in 1799.He was drowned with Isaac Newton when their boat upset in the rips on a trip from Grand Manan, New Brunswick to Lubec, Maine.His body was found on Wolves Island (GMA).Ch incl (GMA):
