Finally! One of the few people interested in the Harrington family living in Carmel Maine in the 1800's. I am researching this family because of the connection to my James Sullivan family who lived in Bangor and Carmel, Maine.
According to the Carmel vital records Daniel Harrington married Mary Maney 24 Sep 1867.
She is also the same Mary who is shown on the tombstone with her husband Daniel P. Harrington in the Mt. Pleasant, Bangor, Maine Catholic Cemetery. The picture of the tombstone and her birth and death dates can be seen at findagrave.com Find A Grave Memorial# 98301534 The caption incorrectly identifies her as Mary "Mulligan" Harrington who actually married John N. H. Harrington 1 Aug 1889. The 1919 death record for Mary may state who her parents were. They are available on microfilm in Augusta, Portland, and Bangor.
