No, he did not.

James WILLIAMSON age 18 residing Hope ME [Knox Co] enlisted Co H 8th ME Inf, 9-17-1962; discharged 6-11-1865.
Do believe he is still living 1870.

James Riggs was dec'd by this date, also doesn't match b/date of 1844. His death record is online, but doesn't give cause of death....d. 6-2-1861 New Sharon ae 18y 10m; father Joseph WILLIAMSON
