JAMES CORBETT - Andover, Maine
Posted by: Jmes Gray (ID *****3396) Date: September 07, 2012 at 15:45:20

I am looking for information on a James Corbett who according to the Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Maine was born in Australia and migrated to the United States. His residence there was recorded as being in Andover, Maine and when he was 20 years old he enlisted and was mustered into "A" Co. Maine 12th Infantry on May 20, 1864; as a Private. He was discharged June 21, 1865 on reasons of disability. Any information on his birth, life, family death and burial will be gretly appreciated.
