All from familysearch historical records search.

It appears from the census data that Horace b.Aug 31 1815 in ME, son of Joshua and Hezibeth, and wife Mary A are living in Ohio, with children Ervin/Irvin, Horace, Harriet and George in 1870. In 1880, Mary still living with children Horace and George -living in Kansas -and is widowed. So Horace must have died in the interim, but unk whether in OH or KS.

Maybe searching the children will give more clues to your family. Often marriage and death certs of children provide more info on parents.

Good Luck, not my family
