In the 1880 census there is a Mabel Sweetser, aged 2 years, living in Cape Elizabeth, daughter of Walter C. and Sarah A. Sweetser.

Walter was the son of James Smith and Charlotte H. (Young) Sweetser, born 28 Sept. 1848.
