I have been looking at all these Grants and my head is starting to hurt. Ok, I can trace my line thus so far;
Jennifer Grant, daughter of
Randolph Wyatt Grant, son of
Charles Augustus Grant, son of
Errett Clifford Grant, son of
Charles Augustus Grant born 1848 Norridgewock Maine, son of
Elijah Francis Grant born June 7 1803, son of
Joshua Grant who married Elizabeth (Betsy) Horsum at Berwick in 1784.
Ok now there is where I stop. I looked at Christine Pettit's pages and there are so many Joshuas/James that it gets frustrating. Was Joshua the son of James Grant and Sarah Joy Grant? Because it so far doesn't look that way. I have an auntie who had a list of descendants of Elijah and typed on the first page it says "it has been said through past generations that three brothers came to this country from Scotland". I think through Peter Grant who was shipped over after a battle with Cromwell's army.
Can anyone shed some light please?
