Hi Joshua,

I see that there is a write up-possibly an obituary in the Portland Press Herald -Portland, Maine December 30, 2002 for Marie . Churchill.

The article mentions Marie as a retired school bus driver and that Elvry was a truck driver and ran a dairy farm. They married when she was 16 and he 21.

You may want to contact the newspaper or go to the newspapers archive dept to get the full obituary if you do not have it already.

It is possible that they married in York County, Maine. The York County Courthouse may have records. You could check West Buxton or Buxton for some records. The Maine Marriage History Search Form did not give me any results.

The Social Security records should have Elvry's parents listed as well as Marie's parents. If you go to the Social Security Death Index there is a printable form to send for the social security records. There is a fee. I have found Social Security records to be quite helpful,

Elvry's SS # 004-07-2005

Marie's SS # 004-50-4121

You could check York County, Maine census records for the towns where you think that they may have lived like West Buxton.

Check your area for a Family History Center at a LDS (Mormon) Church. It is listed as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is a family history center in Cape Elizabeth, Maine and possibly in Windham, Maine. You would have to do a search to find other locations.

Good Luck
