I do not see a Charles Bonney b 1817 Maine listed in any censuses from 1820-1880.

1850 US Census has:
Lucinda Bonney 59, Maine
Edward B. 19 ME
Jane 15 ME
John 40 ME
Turner, Oxford, Maine
Could this be your Lucinda? No spouse mention, may have died.

When Lucinda Bearce is searched (Ancestry.com) I see Linda Bearce b 6 Jan 1790 Bakerstown (became Minot in 1801), Androscoggin, ME
Father: Asa b 20 Jan 1765 Plymouth, MA
Mother: Rhoda Weston b 5 May 1767, Kingston, MA

The Bearce family appears to be a very old (1600s) MA family

Siblings:
Ransom Ripley 5 Feb 1816
Apphia Robinison 18 Feb 1820
Roland S. Aug 1822
Chauncey 16 Mar 1826
Eliza Jane 16 Mar 1826

Spouse of Lucinda Bearce: John Bonney b 26 Jan 1790 Turner,
Androscoggin, Maine
Married 20 Nov 1811 Minot, Adroscoggin,ME

If you have access to Ancestry.com, please look up. I could scan you some of the data if you have no other way.
However, no mention of a son born that year (Charles)
