Debbie, I'm not a Laberge descendant, but I love to help when I can. Do let me know if you need further help after you get a copy of the marriage record. If you don't have the links to the sites with Canadian census for 1851, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 I will be happy to share them. Plus there are some other good Canadian research sites I might be able to dig up. I'm 99% French Canadian so I've gathered some good sites over time. Feel free to email me at home any time you might want some help. get my email address by clicking on my name where it's highlighted. I tried to find Melite Laberge on the 1891 census with no luck so I'm thinking he might be on the census as Joseph that year and there are too many Josephs. Hopefully you'll get his parents names from the marriage record and that will narrow it down.
