Thank You so much Helen.
Yes indeed my saga has been a frustrating one but I am trying to re-count my footsteps Again and make sure I've left nothing unchecked.
Because so many of the Moody's seem to be in the same areas as mine, mostly from the William of Newbury, MA line or the Clement of Exeter, NH line, it makes it even more difficult to keep the two lines from crossing over into my own family tree which can give one a False sense of lineage.
Since I know that my James does not fit into any of the 3 major Moody lines, at least Genetically, and because he does have matches to Moody's in Nova Scotia, PA and elsewhere in the south, it's even harder still to say just where my James came from prior to his showing up out of nowhere in York Co., ME in 1774.
Thank you again for your help and at least I can scratch the Rev. Samuel Moody line off my list of possibilites.I was pretty certain he was a son of Caleb's but just wanted to make sure of the documentation.
Thanks again.
