I checked Maine's death records for 1937 - 1955 and Sarah/Sadie Hart does not appear there. Nor does she appear in Maine's marriage records for the same time period.

So the reason why she is no longer living with Michael in 1940 is not because she married or died, at least in Maine.

I'm sorry, I was hoping either of those two would be the reason for her disappearance.
