Thank you Susan for your response and interest in my family. The 1900 census you posted is for my g-grandfather and his family. While it may not answer my initial question, it is significant! Merton isn't a name I recognized in my family history. I asked my dad about him and he too was unaware of him but said that his father told him that he have two siblings who died young. We now know who one of them was. Thank you. Prior to my posting I studied the vital records of both Fort Fairfield and Unity. Fort Fairfield is sadly mostly Records of Marriage of Intent and they only list the bride & groom's name and the town they're from. Unity had no listings of either th Decker or Ford Families. The good news is following your suggestion to research his death info, my aunt informed me that Everett's youngest daughter is still alive and living in that region. Hopefully she can give us answers. Thank you again for your generosity and time.
