Robert,
You are about to go on the a great but maybe hard adventure. The most current census records that are available to the public is 1930. This means you need to find the names of persons born prior to 1930 in order to start a census lookup.

I would suggest that:
1) Write down the information that you have.
2) Organize the information in to family groups.
3) Talk to living relatives and document what ever they may tell you.
4. Talk to your living relatives and talk to your living relatives. You will relalize how important this is once they are gone and you can't ask any questions.

If you find a name of a family/relative that is prior to 1930 and a location, people on these boards will be happy to help you.
