He was a civil war veteran i/e: Barton Perkins , Residence: Thomaston, Maine Enlistment Date: 19 Oct 1861 Side Served: Union State Served: Maine Service Record: Promoted to Full Sergeant (1862). Promoted to Full Corporal (1862). Enlisted as a Private on 19 October 1861 at the age of 32. Enlisted in Company B, 1st Cavalry Regiment Maine 19 Oct 1861.
