Here's something to get you started:
The IGI has the birth record of a Daniel Card Rice, son of John C. and Sarah Rice, born Dec. 5, 1841, in Woolwich.

Censuses show that John C. Rice was born June 1816 in Maine; his wife Sarah was born about 1818 in Maine, and was still living in 1860. In around 1866 John married another wife, Kate, born April 1844 in Ireland. John and Kate were living in Woolwich as late as 1900.In 1910 and 1920, Kate was a widow living in Woolwich.
