I went back and looked at my hard records and I believe that the two are one and the same. 1860 Census lists an Albert C Wentworth in Mendocino, CA, b. abt. 1830 1910 Census lists an Albert C Wentworth in San Diego, CA, b. abt. 1826 My GG Grandfather A. C. Wentworth married Sarah Peters in San Diego (Old Lighthouse), CA (from family tradition), A written statement from a records clerk in 1975 indicates he was born 3/5/1826 in Searsmont. I just confirmed from Ancestry.com marriage records that Albert Clark Wentworth married Sarah Peters. I don't know where the Charles error occurred. I think it is probably due to my father's erroneous memory. There is still the discrepancy in birth dates 2/5/1830 versus 5/5/1826. I'm not sure of the reason. Notify Administrator about this message?
