I have been trying to find the town in which my parents, Alvah Robichaud and Hazel Litchfield were married. My mother doesn't remember. My father would have, because his memory was sharp as a tack right up until he passed away in February.
The Maine archives has a record of their marriage, indicating both were living in Westbrook, by it does not state where they were married.
I have contacted the town offices in Westbrook, Scarborough (where my father lived a few years as a kid), Saco, Wells and Old Orchard Beach. All say they have no record of the marriage.
My mother has several sisters, but no one knows where my parents were married. Evidently they took off one day and came back later and announced they were married.
Short of contacting every town office in the state, is there any way to track down where they married?
