A wonderful resource and an unimaginable task! I congratulate you and those who worked on this project. I've been doing genealogical research and local historical research for a number of years in Windham, Maine where one of the early families to settle in the late 1800s-early 1900s was the Taylor family who were Jewish. I have interviewed a number of older people here to get their memories of this family, members of which were here until the mid-1900s at least, and though I don't have photos of all of this family (except the ones who were students at Windham High School) I do have photos of houses they lived in and/or owned, many of which have torn down. I would like to share the recollections with someone who may be compiling or collecting oral histories, if that would be of interest. Iremember reading about his project and tried to contact Mr. Gleckman several times but it's still in my "pending" file.
I doubt if many people out here know the origin of the elderly housing called Marcus Woods. My late eyedoctor, Lester Marcus, was a son of one of the Taylor family women.
Feel free to contact me if the information I have is of interest.
