Hi Robynn:
Before I forget, I’m really curious as to why you think she might have beenNative American?
I have not heard this before and in speaking with Denise that was never mentioned.
From census records it either said Scottish or English.
Bessie was born about 1880 and from what we have determined married a Charles Dobson in 1901andshe married a second time to a Harry Jackson in 1914 both in Maine.
The info I have on Annie Florence was she was born Feb 10,1869 to Esther Spencer (unmarried) and according to Denise she married someone named Bert Esties (but she has not confirmed this name, not sure if Bert is his name or a nickname and she wasn’t sure of the spelling of the lastname) she was going to try and get more info but unfortunetly I haven’t heard from her in sometime.
According to her grandmother Annie died at age 28 (about1897) and from I can tell might have been in the Caribou,Maine area.
All the info on LDS records indicate thatWilliam Snowman was born in Maine as well as other members of his family is this incorrect?
Esther and the three girls were from Nova Scotia.I don’t know who Edward Portney’s parents were.
We discovered his name by accident when we saw Denise’s original message we had been given his name as Courtney. Esther was the daughter of Edward and Rachel Spencer.
