Linda, Thank you very much for the info,I'm going to give you the info I have and please when you go to Portland, try to look this up for me. Heres what I have. This was in an article called Pre-1892 Maine vitals. DEATH.. Luther sevearns in August,Me on Aug2,1888,age73 yearsand 11 months, cause of death :Brain". Buried in Evergreen cementary, undertaker NWMorse, recorded in Portland. Do you know if the State has a part of the cementary that was for the patients at the hospital?? If so these graves are probably unmarked graves now.But would you please take this info with you when you go to Portland and see if you can find this persons obituary in the old newspapers at the library. His wife was Mariah{Maria} and of course he had children one being my grandfather Artemus. I need to know if this is a match. We had always heard that Artemus carried "Luther's" obituary with him all his life in his billfold and I always wondered why he would do that. but if his father used another name when he went into the hospital and died I can under stand this. This man used so many names back then. He certainly had things to hide.I really will appreciate your help, and thanks again Betty
