I went a bit further back to the 1900 Census for Prentiss, Maine. It looks like it was done by an elderly person whose hand was shaky. The letters look all jittery, which makes them even harder to read than usual. Her mother's name looked like "Clarra" spelled with two r's.
1900 Census for Prentiss, Penobscot Co., Maine
Enumeration District #90,page 14A
Henry Stanley, 37, b. July 1862 in ME, married 12 yrs, Farmer
Clarra, wife, 27, b. June 1872 in ME, 4 kids, all living, both parents b. ME.
Hattie, dau., 11, b. Nov. 1885 in ME
Mina, dau., 9, b. Feb. 1890 in ME
Lillie, dau., 5, b. Dec. 1895 in ME
Clarence, son, 1, b. Nov. 1898 in ME
They were married 12 years, so they would've been married about 1888.Clarra would've been about 16 at the time.
